Maree Rogers searching for information to help complete her FAMILY tree contacted John Stewart in Atlanta. She was hoping to get info / pictures of her Uncle, Randle Stewart (Grand-pops brother).In the transfer of information it was learned she lived in Hartford, CT. and she also knew and had attended school with Lionel & Ronald. Small world.

Maree Rogers, re-enactor of female Buffalo Soldier “William Cathay,” lecturer, and actress has been a frequent panelist at the National Cowboy Symposium held in Lubbock, Texas and participated at the Buffalo Bill Historical Center’s “Cowboy Songs” and “Range Ballads” in Cody, Wyoming. She has been interviewed on BBC about the female Buffalo Solider and Blacks in the West. In addition, Maree has appeared on Queens College Public TV, Channel 5 in New York “The McCreary Report, “ TNN, QPTV Montana, The Lifetime Channel, and local television in Cody, Wyoming. She also served as one of several guest commentators at the 1999 Annual “Harlem Day Parade” Along with the “Black Cowboy Association,” in 1999 she worked to bring professional rodeo back to New York State.

Television appearances include, "What About women" (Emmy nominated episode) "Many Moods... "for PBS and The File on Jill Hatch for the BBC/PBS American Playhouse series.

 Maree most recently served as a consultant on the first season of HBO’s Emmy award winning series “Deadwood.”  She is a lifetime member of the 9th and 10th (horse) Cavalry Association, know as the Buffalo Soldiers.
