Highlights: If you travel by train you will be within an easy (down the street) 10 min. walk from the hotel. Our hotel is a 30 min walk from Olde City Head House Square (the old slave market), and Penn's Landing. It is close to the Visitor Center, Liberty Bell, African American Museum, Mother Bethel Church 1792 ( the oldest  parcel of land continuously owned by African Americans), and Chinatown. A MUST SEE, two blocks away is the Comcast Center ( largest TV screen I've ever seen is in the lobby 85ft x 35ft high, the show is great).  You are 30 min. from The National Constitution Ctr., Independence Hall, dinning, shopping and more. Friday night: Old School Dance (sixty's dress code, Afro hair style if you can.) Dance to Marvin Gaye, Temptations, Wilson Pickett, Aretha Franklin. ( and for Brenda-- Patti Labelle.) Saturday Picnic:    10:00am - 6:00pm. Old fashioned picnic. Belmont Grove, Fairmount Park. Tot/youth playground, horseshoes, volleyball, softball field & basketball court. Hot dogs , Open buffet ( fried fish, stuffed chicken, & ham, collard greens, baked beans, cabbage. garden salad, etc.). Adults $25.00, Children 6-12 $15.00, 2- 5 $5.00. see full price list. 

Highlights: The picnic area is next to the Underground Railroad Museum and a short distance from the Horticulture Center & Centennial Arboretum and the Please Touch Museum (The Children's Museum of Philadelphia, group rates are $13. per person for fifteen or more. Saturday Night:   Night crawl ( A Center City walking tour featuring Philly's night life. Conductors: Kalonji & Chris. ) Price: Whatever you consume or Philly by Night ( Ride the top of a double decker bus  through the city. Tours depart at 8:oopm ). Our hotel is walking distance to outdoor restaurants, shops, and galleries.  Maps of downtown Philadelphia will be available.
